George Lodge & Sons Ltd has been a distributor of bearing products since the 1920's when it became an authorised distributor for the Ransome & Marles bearing company. This association still exists today as we are an authorised distributor for NSK bearings who acquired the companies of Ransome & Marles, Hoffman & Pollard (RHP) in the 1990's. Based in Hull, George Lodge & Sons Limited is one of the largest bearing and power transmission distributors in the north of England and has been in business for over 130 years. In time George was joined by three of his four sons, Albert, Percy and Herbert.

A fourth son, George Junior - a qualifed marine engineer joined his father and brothers in the 1930's and the sale and repair of machine tools and electric motors was introduced. In 1964 the company moved into custom built premises in English Street, Hull, East Yorkshire and in 1980 George Lodge & Sons celebrated 100 years in business. In 1990 George Lodge & Sons made a significant investment in transmission stockholding, and in 2005 a State of the Art I. System was installed to manage all aspects of the business. 2011 George Lodge & Sons gained ISO9001:2008 accreditation replacing ISO9002/BS5750.
